As a nurse, you’re used to looking after the needs of others, but you may find that you’re neglecting your own needs. It can be easy to do, especially when you’re working long hours and have responsibilities at home, too.

Stress can take a toll, as well as long shifts and a changing schedule. Feeling overworked, rundown, and worn out is not good for a nurse, and it’s not good for their patients. It’s so important to find the time to take care of your own health, including getting more rest, eating healthier and relaxing by doing the things that you enjoy outside of the workplace.

While you do have many responsibilities, never forget that you should make yourself a priority, as well.
